Airborne has a strong background in engineering and manufacturing composite components for aeronautic applications, with involvement in programmes such as A380, A350, Joint Strike Fighter, B787, Chinook, Clean Sky and Gulfstream G650. With the available engineering, production and quality control capabilities, Airborne can offer integrated Design and Build programs for composite components.

For the G650 programma, Airborne has succesfully completed the design and qualification of the composite panels for the empennage. The carbon-epoxy sandwich panels are currently in production under a 7-year supply programme.

Airborne is deeply involved in international technology development programmes, in preparation of future aircraft programmes, on topics such as fibre placement, thermoplastics and smart structures.
