Airborne in Girona is partner in the Spanish Multi.Matheria research project promoted by INGENIA and Rücker-Lypsa (Barcelona).

The 2 year research project, funded by the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation, is focused on the development of new hybrid composite materials suitable for the interiors of different means of transportation (aircraft, cars, trains and space vehicles). The application of these new materials will offer advantages in the design and manufacturing process of interior parts.

The project consortium is composed by 12 companies (AIRBORNE COMPOSITES, GRUPO ANTOLIN, APPLUS+ LGAI, ARIES COMPLEX, COMPASS, ELISAVA, GALACTIC SUITE DESIGN, EASY VIP SOLUTIONS, IDOM, PRAE-TRADE, QUANTECH and RÜCKER-LYPSA), and 4 research institutes (CIMNE, CTAE, LEITAT and UPC). Airborne participates as specialist in the design and manufacturing of aircraft structures in advanced composite materials.
