As of March 7, 2011 Airborne Composites in Spain is EN 9100 qualified. The Quality Management System was approved by Lloyd’s Register Quality Assurance Limited,  Operaciones España. With this another important milestone is completed for the business unit in Spain and the Airborne International group as a whole and will enable the company to grow further in the engineering and manufacturing of composite structures for the aeronautics and defense market.

The EN 9100 quality system is an ISO 9001 based standard with additions and interpretations specific to the aerospace industry with emphasis placed on areas deemed to have the greatest impact on safety, reliability and regulatory compliance for aerospace products.

The assessment was carried out according to the requirements of EN9104 certification scheme of the Aerospace Suppliers Quality Systems and covers the following scope: “Development and manufacturing of advanced composite products for aerospace and industrial customers”.
